As many of you know, here at Minisoft, we care about shipping. Helping businesses streamline their business process while reinforcing their brands with their packages is what we’re all about. Well, our partner Pitney Bowes recently designed an epic infographic that highlights the things consumers expect when it comes to shipping. Will you be able to meet their high expectations?

  • Shipping options are important to 80% of Americans. This isn’t surprising given our need for choices. People like to have options, especially when it comes to shopping online.
  • 77% of people preferred free shipping to fast shipping. Of course, if you’re like us, why not have both? Thanks Amazon Prime!
  • 49% of Americans have abandoned a product due to shipping costs. No comment…
  • For those that abandoned purchases due to costs, $20 or more for shipping knocked the item out of the cart permanently.
  • 81% of consumers track their packages. 30% of consumers track their packages six times, another 30% at least twice. In other words, people like to keep an eye on what they’ve ordered.
  • 89% of Americans have made an online purchase and 49% of those have returned a package. Clearly, having an easy way to return an item matters. Also, some free advice to online shoppers out there: don’t buy jeans online unless you’re absolutely sure of your size.

Those are a few of the highlights from the infographic, but make sure you check out the real deal here. A big thanks to Pitney Bowes for putting this together.
