Using an SSH Tunnel

In the following example, the office network uses a private address space (192.168.0.0/24). The office uses a Firewall with a public address space of (207.46.236.0/25). The Firewall routes connection requests for (207.46.236.4:22) to a Unix box with sshd running. The HP3000 does not need a route through the firewall or publicly accessible address. The only opening through the firewall is port 22 (ssh) for system 192.168.0.186. No connection can be made until the user is authenticated using sshd on the Unix system.

In the following configuration dialog, the values needed to access the HP3000 are shown.
