Snohomish, WA- Minisoft is pleased to announce ODBC/32 and JDBC now supporting Eloquence, UNIX, LINUX, and Oracle Open Gateway for Heterogeneous Queries.

This is an optional add-on component, which implements an HP e3000 TurboIMAGE compatible interface for an Eloquence database. With Eloquence almost 100% compatible with Hewlett Packard Image Database, existing HP e3000 applications can be ported to an Eloquence database with only minor changes.

With Eloquence databases based on IMAGE, performance is outstanding and allows ODBC/32 and JDBC users to have the option of running their Image applications on HPUX, LINUX, and Windows platforms.

Minisoft is also providing a new addition to our Middleware family called A-Bridge. The ODBC/JDBC add-on module will allow Oracle users to access IMAGE databases though the Oracle "Open Gateway" technology for heterogeneous queries. An Oracle user can perform these queries on any platform Oracle runs on including HPUX, LINUX, Windows, RS6000, and AS400.

Along with this announcement Minisoft has also released versions of ODBC/32 and JDBC for HPUX and LINUX platforms. This now gives users the option of accessing IMAGE databases on the HP e3000 from HPUX and LINUX clients.
