Frequently Asked Questions

Why does MM.Minisoft require PM capability?

MiddleMan uses the MPE Architected Interface Facility (AIF) calls for several internal functions. The primary purpose is in validating user identity and file access. Without this capability, MSJOB would require rights to all groups and accounts where data would be accessed. With this, MiddleMan processes are isolated and file access is limited to the valid logon information provided for each session.
