Scout can deliver alarms to alphanumeric pagers and cell phones that can support
digital text messaging. Using AlertScript to perform alphanumeric paging with a modem,
Scout can guarantee delivery of the page to the pager service and report any errors
detected in the process.
When using alphanumeric paging, extensive information about the alarm can be sent in the
page request using substitution parameters in the AlertScript .msg file.
