The Minisoft ODBC/32 and JDBC drivers
now support The HP Eloquence TurboIMAGE compatibility extension
(IMAGE3K). This is an optional add-on component which
implements a HPe3000 TurboIMAGE compatible interface for the HP
Eloquence database.
HP Eloquence is almost 100% compatible
with the Hewlett Packard Image database, so existing HPe3000
applications can be ported to the HP Eloquence database with
only minor changes. The HP Eloquence database is based on IMAGE
so database performance is outstanding. ODBC/32 and JDBC users
now have the option of running their Image applications on HP/UX,
Linux and Windows platforms with HP Eloquence.
Minisoft has also released
versions of the ODBC/32 and JDBC clients supporting the Linux
and HP/UX operating systems. ODBC/32 and JDBC users now have the
option of accessing Image databases on the HP3000 from Linux and
HP/UX clients.
Minisoft is also pleased to
announce a new addition to our middleware family called
"A-Bridge". This ODBC/32, JDBC add-on module will
allow Oracle users to access Image databases though the Oracle
"Open Gateway" technology for heterogenous queries. An
Oracle user could perform these queries on any platform Oracle
runs on including; HP/UX, Linux, Windows, RS6000, AS/400.
