Frequently Asked Questions - AS400  

1. What version of the OS and Java do I need to be on?
      OS Version 5 / Release Level 2 (or greater) 
      eFORMz v6.0 and later - Java Version 1.4.2 or greater

   Note: For updates to your Java release please contact your software vendor.  

2. Host Install. Where is it done from?
   Host Install is done right from your own PC. The following instructions assume you have already installed eFORMz on your Personal Computer:
   
   1. From the eFORMz Composer main menu select Host Tools > AS400 > Install eFORMz.
   
   2. The AS400 Login dialog box will then appear, enter your AS400 IP address, user name, and password.
   
   3. Once complete select Connect.
   
   4. The AS400 Install dialog box will then display. By default eFORMz will pull the needed jar files from the specified directory in the Install From field:
   
   C:\Minisoft\eFORMz_6\
   
   The Install to directory can be specified by selecting the browse button for available Queues on your AS400 system. By default eFORMz install into the following directory off of root:
   
   /minisoft
   
   Once complete select OK.
   
   5. The installation progress bar will then appear.
   
   6. Installation is now complete.
